A big party has begun on the streets of Hungary's capital.
The Hungarian capital Budapest, which remained predominantly opposition during Viktor Orban's rule, has seen spontaneous mass celebrations in the wake of his defeat in the April 12 election.
After the first vote counts left no doubt about the opposition Tisza's absolute victory, thousands of people staged celebrations in the streets of Budapest.
Media published photos of streets filled with people holding national flags.
A few hours after the polls closed, Prime Minister Viktor Orban admitted defeat after 16 years in power and congratulated his rivals on their victory.
