They're definitely not going to be friends.
The head of Hungary's new ruling Tisza party and future prime minister Peter Magyar has said he is ready to sit down at the negotiating table with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
This is reported by Nepszava.
Reporters asked Magyar about Orban's words that he would "observe" how a "pro-Ukrainian government" negotiates with Russia. Magyar explained that Hungary and Russia are neighbors and their geographical location will not change. At the same time, dependence on Russian energy will remain for some time.
"If necessary, we will negotiate, but we will not become friends," the future prime minister emphasized.
Magyar said that the new government will focus on the real problems of Hungarians, not on foreign policy games.
