Ukraine Prepares Zelensky's Talks With Magyar

Ukraine has conveyed signals to the Hungarian side about possible contacts at the level of President Vladimir Zelensky and leader of the Hungarian Tisza party Peter Magyar, who won the parliamentary elections.

This was stated by Foreign Minister Andrei Sibiga, writes "Interfax-Ukraine".

"We believe that we have received the right European news from this country, which opens new opportunities for us and gives us a chance to start a new good-neighborly page of our mutual history. The people deserve such an open relationship. We want and have already transmitted signals of appropriate contacts at the level of the President of Ukraine and respectively Mr. Magyar," Sibiga said.

According to him, Ukraine is waiting for a reaction from the Hungarian side and is interested in a contact between the President and Magyar. The Foreign Minister emphasized that a wide range of issues should be resolved with the Hungarian side - from border infrastructure to cooperation on the European track.

"If we talk globally - it is the removal of the block of Hungary as a country on the way to our membership in the European Union. This is the 20th package of sanctions, this is a 90 billion loan, and the formal opening of clusters," Sibiga said.
