In Sumy region, paratroopers destroyed a group of Russian occupants who attempted to enter the rear of the defenders through a gas pipe.

The 71st Separate Aeromobile Brigade of the AFU DShV reports this in Telegram.

The military said 29 occupants attempted to infiltrate to the rear of Ukrainian positions using a gas pipe and difficult weather conditions.

The brigade noted that this is not the first such attempt in this direction - the Russians have previously used the same route, despite high losses and obvious risks.

"Thanks to the coordinated work of intelligence units, UAV crews and artillery, the enemy's movement was timely detected and stopped. All detected targets were destroyed - it seems that the occupants' real goal is 'self-demilitarization'," the DSHV added.
