A partial collapse of a structure occurred at the Kazan Gunpowder Plant as a result of a fire, the press service of the head of Tatarstan reported.

The incident resulted in some casualties and they are receiving necessary medical assistance.

The press service also emphasized that life and health of people are not threatened, and a special commission is investigating the causes of the incident.

The Kazan Gunpowder Plant is one of Russia's largest enterprises producing gunpowder and charges for military and sporting weapons. On April 12, 2022, it was awarded the title "Enterprise of Labor Valor".
