Doesn't want the limitations of the internet.
Public figures loyal to the Kremlin continue to criticize the Internet blockades imposed by the authorities. Following the Z-war correspondents and former "House 2" host Victoria Bonya, the ultra-patriotic actor Ivan Okhlobystin joined the campaign of expressing discontent, calling for the war against Ukraine to be turned into a "holy" war in 2022 and popularizing the interjection "Goida," which, according to him, was used in ancient Russia, writes The Moscow Times.
"Digital restrictions are a huge mistake. First of all: it is impossible to "limit" anything (we live in the 21st century) and this misunderstanding will deal an additional blow to our reputation. Secondly: the very attempt to restrict our science and culture in information is beyond comprehension. If they want to return us to the USSR, they must first build a time machine. It doesn't work without it," Okhlobystin wrote in his channel in Telegram blocked by Roskomnadzor (stylistics and grammar preserved).
The artist, who openly supported the invasion of Ukraine, also cited memories from his childhood of tin soldiers he "hung on a thread" while reading out a sentence before the "execution." "I have warm feelings [for the Soviet time], but I don't miss it," the former priest and Z-artist noted.
Okhlobystin gave a speech on stage at a Red Square rally-concert in September 2022 after the annexation of territories seized from Ukraine. "There is an opinion that the SWO will soon be renamed counter-terrorist operation. Some even say it will be a Patriotic War, but I believe that even that is not enough. It is correct to call it a holy war. There is such an ancient Russian interjection "goyda", meaning a call for immediate action. How much we miss such battle cries now! Goyda, brothers and sisters! Fear, old world ruled by madmen, perverts, Satanists! Fear, we are coming! Goyda!" - he shouted.
After that, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) filed charges against Okhlobystin in absentia for encroaching on the territorial integrity and inviolability of the country, propaganda of war and justifying Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
Ahead of that, an 18-minute video message to President Vladimir Putin was published on Instagram by Bonya. She "on behalf of the people" said that the head of state "doesn't know a lot of things" and named five "pressing" problems: flooding in Dagestan, fuel oil spills on the beaches of Anapa, killing of red-listed animals, mass slaughter of livestock in the regions and blocking of social networks and messengers.
"People are losing money, people are Googling, Yandexing how to move from Russia to live in another country. This is now one of the most popular requests... You are being given the wrong information. People are suffering a lot today," the blogger said.
