All vessels are allowed passage in the waters.

Iran today, April 17, opened the Strait of Hormuz to all commercial vessels.

-Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made the announcement on social media X.

- In accordance with the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, passage for all commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz is declared fully open for the remainder of the ceasefire period along the agreed route as already announced by the Islamic Republic of Iran Ports and Navigation Organization," Araghchi wrote.

It is worth noting that yesterday the media reported that Iran is considering allowing ships to pass through the Omani part of the Strait of Hormuz unimpeded as part of negotiations with the United States.

This is allegedly only possible, however, if an agreement is reached to prevent a resumption of conflict.
