14 People Were Injured In The Shooting In Kiev

As a result of the shooting in the Goloseevsky district of Kiev, six people were killed, as of now it is known about 14 injured.

The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky said this in an evening address on Saturday, April 18.

He recalled that the man who carried out the shooting took hostages and killed one of them. Four other people were killed by the attacker right outside. Subsequently, a woman died in the hospital, who was seriously wounded.

Four hostages were saved.

The number of injured may become even greater, Vladimir Zelensky noted - "people are still asking for help." Among the wounded is a 12-year-old boy.

According to Zelensky, the attacker set fire to the apartment before going outside with a gun. Previously, the man had already been criminally prosecuted.

Zelensky confirmed the information that he had long lived in Donetsk region, but was born in Russia.

"Now everything that can be known about him and why he did such a thing is being found out. We have to check every detail. Investigators have several versions in the works. All his electronic devices, phone, all his connections will be checked," - said Vladimir Zelensky.
