Tusk: It Looks Like Putin's Dream Plan

Poland's prime minister made a pithy comment.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk commented on the latest developments in the world, in particular the US threats to withdraw from NATO and stop aid to Ukraine, calling it a "dream plan" of Russian ruler Vladimir Putin.

The politician wrote about it on the X platform.

In his post, Tusk also recalled the US decision to ease sanctions against Russian oil, as well as Hungary's blocking of an EU loan for Ukraine.

"The threat of NATO disintegration, the weakening of sanctions against Russia, a large-scale energy crisis in Europe, the withdrawal of aid to Ukraine and Orban's blocking of a loan for Kiev - all this looks like Putin's dream plan," the Polish prime minister wrote.

The Financial Times reported the previous day that US President Donald Trump allegedly threatened European allies to stop supplying arms to Ukraine under the PURL program if they did not join the operation to unblock the Strait of Hormuz.

On the same day, Trump said that he was seriously considering the possibility of the United States leaving NATO due to its stance on the US war in Iran.

According to media reports, however, the United States Congress and the Pentagon said there were no discussions about the US withdrawal from NATO, while the Alliance itself considered the White House chief's threats to break relations with the bloc a bluff.
