People are leaving en masse.

The environmental situation in Russia's Tuapse has sharply deteriorated after Ukrainian drones flew over the port again. Residents are complaining of "oil rain".

This is reported by Dialog.UA, citing eyewitness reports.

After the previous attack, the port burned for several days. As soon as it was extinguished, Ukraine launched a new drone strike. The Tuapse oil refinery, located on the port territory, has recorded numerous fires and heavy smoke.

Local residents complain of poor air quality as well as "oil rain." Oil products as a result of burning began to settle in black oily stains, polluting everything around: buildings, trees, cars.

Local residents began to evacuate on their own.

"It's just a real environmental disaster! What am I going to do? I don't want to be here anymore. We have to move out... People are dying. You know, I can't get it off my hands even with soap. What's Chernobyl? It's ingrained! (...) I'm packing my things... I look out the window - it's bad there (ed.). You can't film such things, they say... That's it! I'm moving out," a local resident complained on the video.

Tuapse is a Russian commercial seaport on the Black Sea coast. Its cargo turnover is about 25 million tons per year. Through it, Russians export oil, grain, fertilizers and other things. It is primarily focused on the transshipment of oil and oil products, and Rosneft's oil loading terminal is located on its territory. This is a very important facility for the Russian oil industry.

The first strike in 2026 was carried out on the night of April 16. This attack led to a large-scale fire on the territory of the port. Refineries, tankers, and businesses were burning. Last night, April 20, the facility was attacked again. The Ukrainian Defense Forces have already claimed responsibility for this operation.
