And strike military installations on our territory.
In accordance with international law, military and military-industrial facilities are legitimate targets on the aggressor's territory. This was stated on the air of Ukrainian Radio by a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, retired Major Alexei Getman.
"We have a legitimate international right to destroy the aggressor's servicemen, starting from the squad commander and ending with the supreme commander-in-chief. This is how a country that has been subjected to aggression should react," said the expert
Alexei Getman said that the easing of U.S. sanctions against the Belarusian regime in exchange for the release of political prisoners may have been aimed at sowing mistrust and splitting the alliance between Belarus and the Russian Federation, but the U.S. will not be able to "tear" Lukashenko from Putin.
"If something does happen and Putin does get Lukashenko to join this war, the United States will express dismay or deep concern. I don't believe that they will influence it in any other way, except in the media or emotionally," Hetman noted.
He said that Ukraine should not be guided by what the U.S. will say - whether to repel an attack by Belarus or meet them with flowers, because it's none of their business. At the same time, he added that Ukraine would not ask permission whether to repel aggression or strike military facilities of Belarus if they attack us.
