Trump Says He Will Win The War In Iran

US President Donald Trump has said that the Americans are "winning the war" against Iran and are making significant progress in the military campaign. He wrote this in a Truth Social.

Trump said the US military has allegedly already destroyed key elements of the enemy's military infrastructure.

"I'm winning the war by a wide margin, things are going very well, but if you read the fake news in the New York Times, the absolutely awful and disgusting Wall Street Journal or the thankfully nearly bankrupt Washington Post, you would think we're losing," he said.

Trump claims Iran is in a difficult position: its navy has allegedly been destroyed, its air force is forced to use hidden airfields and its missile defense systems have been knocked out. He also said the economic blockade is seriously damaging the country.

He said Iran is losing about $500 million a day, which he called "an unacceptable rate even in the short term."

Trump also accused the US media of spreading "fake news" and said they are "rooting for Iran to win," adding that he doesn't think that will happen.
