From May.

Russia has notified Kazakhstan and Germany that from May it will stop the transit of Kazakh oil to Germany, which was supplied there via the northern branch of the Druzhba pipeline.

This was reported by Reuters, citing three sources.

The anonymous interlocutors said that a message was sent from Russia to Kazakhstan and Germany about "adjusted oil exports," which implies that Russia will stop pumping Kazakh oil to Germany via Druzhba from May 1.

In 2025 from Kazakhstan to Germany pumped about 43 thousand barrels of oil per day - 44% more compared to 2024.

Deliveries occurred through the northern branch of "Druzhba", going through the territory of Belarus and Poland. It is noted that this route has already experienced forced interruptions in transit due to the consequences of Ukrainian strikes on the Russian oil and gas infrastructure.

The Russian decision may create additional problems for Germany amid the global energy crisis due to the war in the Middle East.
