Sibiga: Ukraine's Position On The Battlefield Is The Strongest In The Last Year

Ukraine's position on the battlefield is the strongest over the past year, in particular it managed to minimize the Russians' advantage in personnel through the use of drones, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga said at a meeting with journalists, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

"I believe that our situation can now be characterized as follows. We are holding the line. Really the position on the battlefield is the strongest or the strongest for the last year. Indeed the strongest. We have minimized the Russians' advantage in manpower through the use of drones," Sibiga said.

The minister said that now the advantage in manpower is not decisive on the battlefield thanks to the achievements of Ukrainian troops.

"For us, the situation on the battlefield is about strengthening negotiating positions. So is the credit, by the way. And we present to our partners that if we want to bring peace, a just peace, we must first of all strengthen our negotiating position," the foreign minister explained.

The second important element he called "closing the skies." The minister emphasized that Ukraine can shoot down up to 90% of air targets, and "this is our new geopolitical power."

The third element of the current situation is asymmetric actions against the enemy, Sibiga added. "Asymmetry in thinking, asymmetry in building tactics, developing technologies," the minister said.
