EU Extends Sanctions Against Lukashenko's Regime

The European Union has extended sanctions against Lukashenko's regime until February 28, 2027, according to a statement of the EU Council.
"Today's package of measures continues to address the role of Belarus in assisting Russia. <...> the Council extended the sanctions regime against Belarus until February 28, 2027," the statement said.
The statement said that it was the first time that a Chinese state-owned company fell under European sanctions, as the company is involved in the production of military products for Belarus. In addition, the EU imposed restrictions on cybersecurity and tourism services.
