While rescuers were removing the rubble, it became known about an incredible story in one of the Ukrainian high-rise buildings.

The aftermath of a massive attack by Russian missiles and drones that killed five people and injured more than 40 is still being dealt with in Dnipro.

This is according to a statement by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and comments by Dnipro's mayor Borys Filatov.

Russian troops attacked Dnipro in several waves, using missiles and drones. The strikes hit residential buildings, energy facilities and civilian infrastructure.

In the afternoon, the enemy struck again at a residential neighborhood that had already been hit during the night.

Five people are now known dead. The number of wounded exceeded 40 people, among them there are children. 23 people are hospitalized, two more residents are missing.

The rescue operation will continue until the fate of all people is clarified.

All city services are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack. Utility workers provide water supply for the State Emergency Service, provide heavy equipment to remove the rubble and clean the streets from glass shards.

According to the mayor Boris Filatov, despite the scale of destruction, there are cases that can be called a miracle.

- Tonight a shahid flew into the apartment. Right through the window. Everyone survived. Because the fucking thing didn't explode. Such cases are really one in a million, - said the mayor.
