There was a massive brawl in the ring.

In the Turkish city of Trabzon after the fight of boxer from Russia Sergey Gorokhov with local favorite Emirkhan Kalkan there was a mass brawl. The reason was the overreaction of the Russian and his team during the fight.

The Russian side constantly provoked the Turks during the fight, which did not please the local fans and Emirhan Kalkan's team. Now the fight for the UBO title had to be stopped, the Turkish edition Karar reports.

The media reports that from the beginning of the fight, the Russian side showed "obscene gestures" and shouted insulting words against the Turkish boxer and his team. The situation in the ring continued to escalate until at the end of the third round, a member of the Russian team pushed the brother of the Turkish boxer.

This act of the Russians turned into a verbal altercation, and then - the Turks decided to "teach the Russians a lesson" for their defiant behavior. Dozens of people (mostly representatives of both teams and their supporters) jumped into the ring, and fists, kicks and chairs were used.

Security barely managed to stop the mass brawl between the three sides - fans and opposing sides. The result of the fight has now been determined as "stopped" and the commission and referees plan to review all camera footage to identify those involved.
