The Parade On Red Square On May 9 Will Be Held Without Equipment

Moscow explained why.

The military parade in Moscow on May 9 will be held without the traditional demonstration of armored vehicles. Only columns of military personnel on foot will take place on Red Square.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Russian Defense Ministry.

Who will pass - and who will not

In the foot column will take part servicemen of higher military schools of all branches of the armed forces. But pupils of Suvorov and Nakhimov schools, cadet corps, as well as the mechanized column are excluded from the parade.

In place of equipment - broadcast from the front

The parade promises to show the work of the military, which perform combat missions in Ukraine, as well as on duty in the Strategic Missile Forces, Air and Space Forces and the Navy.

The aviation part of the event will remain: aerobatic groups are scheduled to fly over, and at the end Su-25 attack aircraft are to "paint the sky" in the colors of the Russian flag.

The May 9 parade is one of the Kremlin's key propaganda events.
