Trump Has Refused To Make A Deal With Iran

The U.S. will continue its blockade of Iranian ports.

US President Donald Trump rejected Iran's peace offers for a deal, he told Axios.

"A blockade is more effective than bombing. They're suffocating like a stuffed pig. And it will be even worse for them. They should not have nuclear weapons," he said.

Trump emphasized that the U.S. will continue to blockade Iranian ports until Tehran agrees to U.S. terms on giving up nuclear weapons.

Iran has previously proposed that the U.S. lift the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and ports there, end the war, and postpone nuclear weapons talks to a later date.
