"Gazprom And Rosneft Involved In The Abduction Of Ukrainian Children

Strong evidence has been provided.

Russian state-owned energy companies were involved in the displacement of Ukrainian children during the war. This is stated in a study by Yale University, reports Reuters.

According to analysts, the companies Rosneft and Gazprom could support the functioning of the camps, where more than 2 thousand Ukrainian children were taken from 2022 to 2025. The report notes that a total of about 2,158 children were in such camps in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and Russia, where, in particular, programs with pro-Russian content were held.

This is the first public study that provides convincing evidence of these companies' involvement in a systemic campaign of deportation and ideological influence on children, the study says.

In response to a request from journalists, Gazprom said that the companies were not involved in the systemic deportation and ideological influence on children. Rosneft denied involvement in any illegal activities, saying the study did not contain evidence of the company's involvement in war crimes.

According to the report, some of the children received vouchers to the camps through Gazprom subsidiaries and trade union organizations linked to Rosneft.

By these findings, some U.S. lawmakers are calling for renewed sanctions against the companies in question.
