Former Deputy Head Of Hrodna District Took Bribes With Construction Materials

Hrodna announced the verdict of the former deputy chairman of the local executive committee, who was detained in the summer of 2025 while receiving a bribe. The result of the criminal case was reported by Lukashenko's TV channel "Belarus 4."

The prosecution version, from December 2023 to July 2025, the 41-year-old ex-official received "rewards in the form of money and building materials" from two representatives of commercial structures. The businessmen thanked the deputy head of the district for help in winning tenders.

The court found the former official guilty and sentenced him to 7.5 years of imprisonment in a reinforced regime colony. He was also ordered to pay 450 basic units (20 thousand 250 rubles) in fines and was deprived of the right to hold positions of authority for five years.

The verdict has not entered into legal force and can be appealed.
