The governor of Russia's Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, has admitted that on the night of April 4, the region's strategic facilities, including port infrastructure, were subjected to missile strikes.

On the night of Saturday, March 4, Ukrainian missiles attacked strategic facilities in Russia's Rostov region. According to preliminary information, the port infrastructure of Taganrog came under attack, writes Dialog.UA after monitoring social networks.

Rostov Region Governor Yuri Slyusar admitted that the region's strategic facilities were subjected to a missile attack tonight.

He said that a missile strike in Taganrog caused a fire in the territory of storage facilities. He did not say what was stored there. A local port was also in the crosshairs of Ukrainian missiles and UAVs.

Slyusar says a commercial vessel was damaged in the water area as a result of "falling UAV debris." What kind of cargo the vessel was carrying, he did not specify. The Russian Defense Ministry said in a summary that on the night of April 4, Russian air defense in the skies above Russia allegedly shot down 85 Ukrainian aircraft-type UAVs. Some of them were in the skies over the Rostov region, but the enemy did not say how many specifically.

Taganrog is home to several Russian military and strategic facilities, and the AFU regularly strikes them.
