The industrial zone is on fire.

On the night of April 5, drones attacked Russia's Nizhny Novgorod region, where a fire in an industrial area has risen after a series of explosions. Power outages have also been recorded.

Preliminary data suggests that the attack has left Lukoil's oil refinery in Kstovo ablaze. This was reported by OSINT channels.

"Kstovo, industrial zone of the Lukoil refinery," said the report, to which probable footage of the night attack on the city was attached.

Another monitoring channel wrote that the entire industrial zone of the affected refinery was blazing after the strikes.

Russian Telegram channels are also writing about the attack on Kstovo. At the time of publication, it is reported that the shelling has been going on for more than 2 hours, during which time eyewitnesses have counted at least 20 explosions.

"Air defense reflects the third wave of AFU UAVs in the Nizhny Novgorod region already," the report says.

Witnesses have also confirmed smoke rising over one of Kstovo's neighborhoods. Against the backdrop of the attack, the city is experiencing light outages.

Data on the consequences of the attack are being clarified.

It is worth noting that the drones probably hit the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery. This refinery processed 15.8 million tons of oil in 2023. Past attacks on the enterprise occurred in January, March and July 2025.
