Trump Gives Iran Exact Time To Open Strait Of Hormuz

If Iran doesn't open the strait, the US will start destroying power plants across the country.

U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to destroy all of Iran's power plants unless that country's leaders agree to reopen the Strait of Hormuz by the evening of Tuesday, April 7.

This was reported by Charter97.org, citing his post on Truth Social and an interview for The Wall Street Journal.

"If they don't keep their promise, if they want to keep (the strait - ed.) closed, they're going to lose all their power plants and all the other businesses across the country.... If they don't do anything by Tuesday night, they won't have any power plants or bridges," Trump said.

Later on social media, he clarified that Iran has until 8 p.m. Tuesday Eastern Time (which is 3 a.m. Wednesday, April 8).

Back to the interview, Trump was also asked when he thought the war would end, to which he said he would "let you know soon."

"But we are in a very strong position, and it's going to take this country (Iran - ed.) 20 years to recover, if they're lucky enough to have a country in them at all," the US president added.

When asked if he was concerned that Iran's population of 93 million people could be affected by attacks on civilian infrastructure, Trump replied:

"No, they want us to do it," he said, claiming that Iranians "live in hell."
