(Updated) The ship was attacked by drones.
In the Russian city of Novorossiysk, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the frigate Admiral Makarov. This was announced by the commander of the Unmanned Systems Force of the AFU Robert Brovdi (Madyar).
"On the night of April 6, SBS birds struck the frigate Admiral Makarov in the port of Novorossiysk and delivered some gracious fire to the Sivash drilling rig," the military officer said.
Admiral Makarov is the first military frigate of the Russian Navy's Burevestnik project, a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles (8 missiles) and Shtil-1 air defense missiles (24 missiles), he said. The air defense missiles were launched directly from the frigate's board during the approach to the target, which did not prevent it from being damaged, "Madyar" adds.
The commander noted that the operation was carried out by the forces of 1 SBS OC, planned and coordinated by the SBU. The extent of damage to enemy targets is currently being established by intelligence.
The post initially claimed that another Russian frigate, the Admiral Grigorovich, suffered from the drone attack. The information was corrected after OSINT analysts pointed out that the Admiral Grigorovich frigate is now in the Mediterranean Sea.
