Russia's International Reserves Shrank Significantly Over The Month

By April 1, Russia's international reserves amounted to $748.9 billion, according to the Bank of Russia. In early March, this amount reached $809.3 billion, which is 7.5% (or $60.3 billion) more than the April figure.
On April 1, 2025, the country's international reserves amounted to $647.3 billion. Foreign exchange reserves in March decreased by 2.4% to $415 billion. Monetary gold in the reserves fell in price by 13% to $333.9 billion.
The structure of international reserves includes highly liquid foreign assets held by the Central Bank and the state, including currency, special drawing rights (SDRs), reserve position in the International Monetary Fund and monetary gold.
