Iranian authorities amid US ultimatums are actually trying to cover some critical infrastructure with people. Iranian media have released a photo with "live chains".

It was reported by Mehr News Agency on social network X.

In particular, the agency published a report about a "live chain" at a power plant in Kermanshah. The photo shows a group of Iranians gathered around the facility and holding placards with inscriptions and Iranian state flags.

Separately, Mehr News Agency showed a "human chain" at a power plant in Tabriz.

One other report concerned the White Bridge in Ahvaz in southern Iran. There, people lined up along the bridge to form a "human chain" and stretched a long Iranian national flag.

The agency reports refer to such participants as "Iranian patriots." At the same time, the very nature of these actions indicates that authorities are trying to use the presence of civilians as an additional deterrent to complicate possible strikes on energy and other critical infrastructure.
