Trump Complained About Charlatans Spreading Fakes About Iran Deal

Earlier, he said Washington's peace deal has 15 points and almost all of them have already been agreed with Tehran.

US President Donald Trump has complained that "con men, charlatans" are spreading false content of the peace deal between Washington and Tehran. He wrote this on Truth Social.

"Numerous agreements, lists and emails are being sent out by people who have absolutely nothing to do with the US/Iran negotiations, in many cases they are complete frauds, charlatans and Worse. They will be quickly exposed once our federal investigation is complete. There is only one group of meaningful "POINTS" acceptable to the United States and we will be discussing them behind closed doors during these negotiations. It is on these PUNCTIONS that we agreed to a ceasefire," Trump stressed.

In his publication, he referred to the "fake news channel CNN, which put a source with no credentials in the headline."

The day before, the American leader called a statement by Iran's Supreme National Security Council claiming Tehran had won the war a "fraud" and criticized CNN for its coverage of the event. The publication said Tehran was discussing a 10-point deal with Washington. These include, among others, regulating passage through the Strait of Hormuz, halting attacks on Iranian territory and its regional proxies, withdrawing US troops from the region, paying reparations, lifting international sanctions and unfreezing assets, a binding UN resolution to secure any final peace agreement, and the Islamic Republic's right to enrich uranium.

Trump, for his part, said the deal with Iran consists of 15 points, most of which have already been agreed upon. According to Bloomberg, the US offered Iran to give up the Strait blockade, nuclear weapons, limit its armed forces and stop supporting proxy groups. In return, Washington expressed willingness to lift sanctions and help civilian energy.

On the night of April 8, the US and Iran announced a ceasefire. According to Trump, Washington agreed to the truce because Tehran has shown willingness to "fully, immediately and safely" open the Strait of Hormuz. Iran's Supreme National Security Council reiterated its agreement to the ceasefire, but emphasized that Tehran still "has its hands on the trigger" and is ready to confront US aggression.
