And I remembered Greenland again.
U.S. President Donald Trump criticized NATO, saying the alliance's member states did not support the United States when Washington needed it, and expressed doubts about their continued assistance.
He wrote this in Truth Social on Thursday, April 9, after meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
"NATO wasn't there when we needed them, and they won't be there if we need them again. Remember Greenland - that big, badly managed piece of ice!!!," Trump said.
Mark Rutte said earlier that Trump was "clearly disappointed" that many NATO allies had not supported the US-Israel war against Iran to the extent he had expected.
