Toward the evening of May 9, Russian troops launched a drone strike on a nine-story residential building in Kharkov's Industrial District.

The strike hit the technical floor of the building, the mayor of Kharkov Igor Terekhov reported.

"As a result of the hit of an enemy drone in the technical floor of a 9-storey building in the Industrial district, two people were injured (as of this minute), the elevator shaft was damaged, about thirty windows were broken out. Inspection of the house continues," Terekhov wrote.

The same information was confirmed by the chairman of the Kharkiv regional military administration Oleg Sinegubov.

"According to the clarified information, the "flight" of the enemy UAV was recorded in the technical floor of a nine-storey residential building in the Industrial district. Now specialized services are liquidating the consequences of the attack," Sinegubov noted.

Subsequently, he specified that the number of victims in the Industrial district of Kharkiv has increased to five, among them an 8-year-old boy.

"There are already five victims in the Industrial district. Medics continue to provide assistance at the site of the enemy 'arrival'," Sinegubov emphasized.

It should be noted that the strike on Kharkiv took place while the ceasefire initiated by US President Donald Trump from May 9 to 11, to which both official Kiev and Moscow agreed, is still in effect.
