U.S. President Donald Trump sharply criticized Iran's response to a U.S. draft agreement to end the war, calling Tehran's position "totally unacceptable."

"I just read the response of the so-called representatives of Iran. I don't like it - totally unacceptable!" - Trump wrote on the social network Truth Social.

In a conversation with Axios, the U.S. president said he didn't like the content of the letter from Tehran.

"I don't like their letter. It's inappropriate. I don't like their response," Trump said, declining to disclose details. He also said that Iran "has been attacking many countries for 47 years now."

As the publication notes, Washington waited ten days for an official response from the Iranian side and expected to see signs of progress in the talks, but Trump's response showed otherwise.
