Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky reacted to the massive Russian attack on the night of Tuesday, May 12.
Zelensky emphasized that the occupiers attacked Ukraine with 200 attack UAVs.
"Russia itself chose to end the partial silence that had been maintained for several days. Over 200 attack drones have been fired at Ukraine overnight. Again went aerial bombs on the front - more than 80, more than 30 air strikes were recorded," he said.
"Strike drones were shot down in Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Mykolayiv, Sumy, Chernihiv regions. Kiev and the region.
"We have said that we will act mirror-like in response to all Russian moves. Russia must end this war, and it is Russia that should make a step towards a real, lasting ceasefire," the president said.
The Ukrainian leader emphasized that sanctions against Moscow should be strengthened.
"It is important that there should be no easing and partners should not stay on the sidelines, but continue working together for the sake of security, justice and reliable peace," he stressed.
