There was a fly-by in the industrial zone.
In the early morning of May 13, Ukrainian UAVs attacked strategic facilities in Russia's Yaroslavl region. Facilities in Yaroslavl came under attack, Dialog.UA writes after monitoring social networks.
Air alert in the Yaroslavl region was announced at 04:32. Soon after, residents of Yaroslavl heard several explosions.
Yaroslavl Region Governor Mikhail Evraev confirmed that drones attacked the region's strategic facilities on the morning of May 13. According to him, most of the UAVs were allegedly shot down. But he acknowledged that "there was a hit by the debris of a downed drone" on an industrial facility in Yaroslavl. He said nothing about the consequences of the air attack.
The Russian Defense Ministry's summary says that on the night of May 13, Russian air defense in the skies above Russia allegedly shot down 286 Ukrainian UAVs of the airplane type, including over the Yaroslavl region. The republic of Kalmykia also appears in the summary. This means that Ukrainian drones are already reaching there as well.
There are many military and strategic facilities in the Yaroslavl region that are legitimate targets for the AFU. One of the main targets is the Yaroslavl oil refinery, which is important for financing Russia's war against Ukraine.
The AFU has attacked this facility several times before. For example, Ukrainian drones attacked the Yaroslavl refinery on the night of April 26, 2026, resulting in fires there.
