Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria took part in the Aurora-26 military exercise, which involves several NATO countries and soldiers from Ukraine, particularly from the Azov Brigade.
It was reported by Helagotland.
The princess' visit took place as early as Monday, May 11, and was not announced in advance. The exercise continues on the island of Gotland.
"She was offered a private tour of Sweden's most modern garrison area," said communications manager Thomas Engshammar.
Victoria was welcomed to the exercise by the commander-in-chief, General Michael Claesson. The visit began at the Tofta firing range, where a live-fire demonstration took place. The crown princess then greeted the participating units as well as the conscripts stationed on Gotland.
The future queen subsequently boarded the warship HMS Carlskrona. There a seminar was organized on "The strategic importance of Gotland". The evening ended with a dinner on board the ship.
The Aurora 26 exercise involves approximately 18,000 Swedish and foreign military personnel. The exercise involves units from the Army, Navy, Air Force and Home Guard, as well as other Swedish combat forces. In addition, military units from 12 countries have joined them. The photo shows that Ukraine is represented by fighters of the National Guard, in particular the Azov Brigade.
