Ukraine will initiate an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council due to the massive shelling of civilians and killing of humanitarian personnel by Russian troops.

This is reported by Charter97.org with reference to a statement by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga.

The Foreign Minister said that he has already instructed to immediately convene the UN Security Council and use other international platforms.

In addition, tomorrow morning we will invite the foreign diplomatic corps - all foreign ambassadors in Kiev - to visit one of the places where part of a multi-story building was destroyed as a result of the Russian attack," Sibiga emphasized.

He added that the scale of terror requires a decisive response from all states, as Russia responds with violence to any peace proposals by Ukraine.

According to the minister, between the evening of May 13 and the morning of May 14 alone, Russia fired 675 drones, 56 missiles of various types, including ballistic missiles, at Ukraine.

In Dozens more people were wounded, and the fate of 20 people remains unknown for now.

"The world must see that Russia's response to all our constructive peace proposals is more terror and violence, and act accordingly," the minister emphasized.

Reminder, on the night of May 14, Russia carried out one of the largest-scale shelling of Ukraine, firing a record number of drones and missiles.

The most severe consequences were recorded in Kiev - in Darnitsky district, an enemy missile hit a residential 9-storey building, which led to the complete destruction of one of the entrances, the death of people and numerous injuries.
