Andrei Voynich: Lukashenko Is Really Scared

With nuclear drills, dictators try to hide their fear.

Belarus has began training military units in the combat use of nuclear weapons and nuclear support. In cooperation with Russia, the military is practicing the delivery of nuclear warheads, their preparation for use and actions from unprepared areas across the country.

Why did Putin and Lukashenko start nuclear training now? What are the two dictators so afraid of? The website Charter97.org talked to ex-political prisoner, coordinator of the civil campaign "European Belarus" Andrei Voynich about it:

- Putin and Lukashenko are really scared. They are two cowards who are out of place. Completely random people. If we talk about Putin, he has a lot to be afraid of. Because the Ukrainians are relentlessly pounding Russia both in the tail and in the mane. We see Tuapse, we see Perm, we see attacks on Moscow. And I have accurate information that in Tuapse people are scared to the point of hysteria.

Putin sees the excitement and the fear of people about this war. And he is afraid for his chair, for his well-being and, perhaps, for his future, which in fact he does not have. Because, first of all, Putin is not a young boy. And secondly, we've all seen pictures of him from the last parade in Moscow. And he is quite shabby, such a wrinkled grandfather.

If we talk about Lukashenko, he is in general between two fears. The first is in front of the Kremlin, because Lukashenko doesn't want to get involved in a war. For a simple reason: he is a coward, and we all know it. And the second fear is fear of the United States, of NATO. Because he sees what happened with Maduro. He sees how beautifully, you could say, Iran was dismantled and Khamenei was eliminated. And he is very afraid of the repetition of such or similar scenarios in Belarus. He is a very cowardly, flabby grandfather. We all know it too.

Why exactly now they have started these exercises? Because the same fears are behind it. And, besides, they need something to rattle, something to show strength, to show their people that they are still great. And secondly, to scare NATO and the United States a little. Look, we have nuclear weapons. We are two dangerous madmen who can press the button at any moment.

- How will Putin use Lukashenko and the Belarusian army - against Ukraine and for provocations against NATO countries?

- Putin has used, uses and will use Lukashenko non-stop, always. No matter how Lukashenko may squirm, no matter how he resists it, he is only a hostage. A moral hostage of Putin and himself, of his own lust for power.

Today Lukashenko continues provocations against NATO countries, banally launching weather probes with smuggled cigarettes. I will never believe that this is done without the approval of the KGB and Lukashenko.

I mentioned not so long ago in my Facebook the fact that in Belarus in such situations, in critical situations for Russia and Belarus, the fire danger in the forests starts abruptly. Often in rainy weather. That is, the Belarusian authorities declare that forests cannot be visited, a complete ban on visiting forests is introduced due to the fact that there is a fire danger. In fact, we can all see that there is no fire danger.

We can all see that Russia and Lukashenko, no matter how much he wants it, are preparing for an attack on Ukraine, and possibly on NATO countries. I can't say in what time frame, but they are slowly preparing for it. The dictators are preparing for this scenario.

Most likely, they will present this to the world as a preventive attack, that is, as a defensive attack. But that is not true. We all know that these are, again, two moral freaks who would do anything to keep their thrones.
