GUR Fighters Dislodged Russian Occupants From Stepnogorsk

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have established control over Stepnogorsk in the Zaporizhzhya direction. The operation was carried out by the special unit of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's GUR "Artan" in cooperation with other units.

This is reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.

According to the source, Ukrainian scouts carried out a series of offensive actions, during which Russian troops were forced out of the settlement.

In the course of the operation, the equipment on which the fighters were advancing attempted to attack an enemy FPV drone, but it was destroyed.

It is noted that the assault actions were carried out with the use of aerial reconnaissance and pinpoint strikes. After the sweep, each site was checked for explosive devices and remaining enemy forces.

Artan unit commander Viktor Torkotyuk said that attempts by Russian troops to re-enter the city were not ruled out, but Ukrainian forces were ready for it.
