"As a result of works on laying communications, a minor damage to the water pipe was found. Work is currently underway to rectify the emergency. During the works, a slight pressure drop in the system is expected. All elements of spare parts have been prepared," - said Deputy Chairman of Barysau District Executive Committee Sergei Baburo on April 30.
The next day the district state newspaper reported that "the services have taken all necessary measures, the problem has been eliminated". The water supply was restarted, but there were possible temporary disruptions to the hot water supply. However, some local residents noted in comments that the water never appeared.
After that, the district newspaper informed about interruptions in water supply "due to increased water consumption" on May 1. At the same time, water delivery was organized. Dozens of residents who were left without water supply responded in comments.
By evening it became known that the situation was stabilizing and the pressure in the pipes was increasing. The restoration of water supply in Borisov was reported on May 2.
"The situation was under full control. Thanks to the citizens of Borisov for their understanding!" - Baburo said.
Borisovvodokanal specialists continue to monitor the quality of water in the network. Residents are urged in case of deterioration of color, odor or transparency to promptly report it to the dispatch service of the enterprise. In comments, some people write that in some places there is no hot water, and red water comes from the tap.
We remind, the problem with water was also observed in Rogachev in Homel region. On April 29, the tap water there smelled of acetone. Director of Zhlobinvodokanal branch of Gomelvodokanal Valery Veremeichik mentioned in his commentary that the problem appeared "due to the routine work on painting of structural elements at the water intake of Rogachev, which are not in contact with water."
On the evening of May 1, the local authorities reported that the water meets the standards and is fit for consumption.
