What Trump and Vance said

Trump said the war would end "very quickly" and acknowledged Monday he was "an hour away from a decision to attack" but stopped after a new Iranian proposal.

Vice President Vance said at a White House briefing that the United States was in a "pretty good position." He acknowledged the difficulty of negotiations because of the split in the Iranian leadership.
