"Every day the Russian army loses at least a thousand servicemen killed and wounded. Since the beginning of 2026, the total losses of the enemy have already exceeded 141.5 thousand people, of which more than 83 thousand are irrecoverable," he noted.

The general said that exhausting the Russians, restoring positions and inflicting maximum losses on the enemy allows the tactics of active defense.

Syrsky added that Ukraine has significantly increased the number of strikes in the deep rear of the Russians thanks to the rapid deployment of Middle Strike drones.

"There are also certain successes in suppressing Russian air defenses at close ranges, which makes it possible to increasingly effectively hit logistics hubs, oil refineries and facilities of the Russian defense industry complex," his statement said.

The Security Service of Ukraine later noted that the joint operation with the Defense Forces was aimed at weakening the enemy's military potential.
