The Foreign Ministry and Ukrainian special services were given the tasks.

Ukraine has said it is preparing a response to a possible Russian offensive in the Chernihiv-Kiev direction. The country's Foreign Ministry and intelligence agency have been instructed to develop steps against Belarus.

President Vladimir Zelensky said Ukrainian forces had analyzed intelligence data on possible offensive plans. He noted that if the threat is realized, appropriate response actions will be prepared, and the defense in this direction will be strengthened.

"We have analyzed in detail the available data from our intelligence about the Russian planning of offensive operations in the Chernihiv-Kiev direction. We are preparing responses to each possible variant of the enemy's actions, if the Russians do decide to expand their aggression. Our forces in this direction will be increased," Zelensky said after the stakeout on May 20.

He also added that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has been instructed to prepare additional diplomatic measures against Belarus, while the intelligence services have been instructed to prepare separate non-public tasks.

Under Zelensky, as Charter97.org wrote earlier, Ukraine has been recording new attempts by Moscow to draw Belarus into war.
