Unemployment Benefits In Poland Have Increased: Some Will Receive $580 Each

What about Belarus?

Poland's Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy has decided to raise unemployment benefits. The new rates will come into effect on June 1, 2026 and will remain in effect until the end of May 2027, writes WPN.

The payments are made by county labor offices, so in order to receive the benefit, you must first register with the appropriate authority. The amount of the allowance is updated annually on June 1, taking into account inflation.

For people with up to 20 years of work experience, the monthly allowance will be:

in the first 90 days - 1,783.90 PLN before taxes or $485, after three months - 1,400.90 PLN or $380.

For those who have more than 20 years of work experience, there are higher payments: in the first 90 days - 2,140.68 PLN or $583, after three months - 1,681.06 PLN or $460.

Unemployment benefit in Belarus is Br40 per month or $20. This amount is established by the Council of Ministers № 1064.

In addition, in Belarus, able-bodied citizens who do not work more than 183 days a year are considered "slackers. They pay for housing and communal services at full rates, while evasion is punishable by fines.
