Zelensky Instructed To Strengthen Air Defense On The Border With Belarus

The President of Ukraine has named the most vulnerable areas on the border with our country.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that it is necessary to strengthen air defense in the northern direction, particularly in the areas bordering Belarus, and noted that the relevant decisions are already being worked out with the Defense Ministry and the government.

Vladimir Zelensky said that a large number of appeals from the communities located along the border with Belarus have been received.

At this site, he said, it is necessary to significantly strengthen the air defense system in accordance with the requests of local residents and the current security situation.

The President stressed that the Ukrainian Defense Ministry has identified this issue as one of the priorities.

Zelensky noted that it is a question of redistributing additional equipment and resources to strengthen defense capabilities.

He added that the state has the relevant capabilities and is awaiting a report on the results of the decisions made.

Separately, the president pointed out that the financing of defense measures in the Chernihiv-Kyiv direction is provided for in full.

Zelensky said that in case there are actual requests - be it equipment, resources or local assistance - state structures should promptly respond.

Zelensky stressed that the government is obliged to provide funding and support for all necessary defense measures, including initiatives that can be implemented by the communities themselves.
