Mysterious Death Of Russian Billionaire: Before The Accident He Rewrote All Assets

On May 20, 53-year-old billionaire Mikhail Smirnov Mikhail Smirnov died in a traffic accident in the Russian Federation on May 20. Shortly before his death, he had rewritten all of his assets to Bank Saint Petersburg, which is linked to Russian Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko.

This was reported by the influential Russian resource "VChK-OGPU", which is believed to belong to the special services of the Russian Federation.

According to the official version, Smirnov, while riding a motorcycle, ran into a Havai car that was traveling in the oncoming lane. There are no witnesses to the accident. The billionaire himself died on the spot before the ambulance arrived.

Smirnov, among other things, was a co-owner of the Baltic Fuel Company, which exports oil products. His fortune as of 2024 was estimated at nearly 7.8 billion rubles.

"A few months before his death, he withdrew from the founders of all companies," writes "VChK-OGPU." He also left all the positions he held. Both assets and positions were given to persons close to the St. Petersburg Bank and the Matvienko family.
