Dodon Came To Visit Lukashenko

The dictator embraced Moldova's pro-Russian ex-president.

Lukashenko met today in Minsk with the pro-Russian former president of Moldova, leader of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon.

According to the press service of the Belarusian dictator, during the meeting Lukashenko inquired about "the issue of preserving Moldova's sovereignty."

Now official Chisinau is pursuing a course of European integration and has recently stopped participating in the CIS charter bodies. The Socialist Party, which Dodon leads, has been in opposition since its defeat in the 2025 parliamentary elections. The Action and Solidarity party, which supports President Maya Sandu, won more than half of the votes then.

Sama Sandu has won the presidential election twice - in 2020 and 2024.

Addressing Dodon, Lukashenko emphasized "the importance of preserving ties and urged Moldova not to break relations."
