Armenia And The U.S. Conclude Agreement On "Trump's Way"

The transport corridor will connect Baku and Nakhichevan.
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio initialed a cooperation agreement on the Trump Way project, within which plans to connect the main territory of Azerbaijan with the exclave through Armenia. The parties also signed the Charter of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of the two countries.
The signing ceremony was held by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Among other things, a framework memorandum on ensuring the extraction, processing and supply of rare earth metals and critical minerals was also signed.
"It would not be an exaggeration to say that the sides have moved to a historically unprecedented stage, given the constant bilateral development processes," Mirzoyan said after the signing.
On August 8, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and U.S. President Donald Trump signed a seven-point trilateral declaration in Washington, in which Baku and Yerevan first confirmed that they will work toward a peace agreement. In paragraph 3 of the trilateral declaration, the sides reaffirmed that transport links to the Azerbaijani exclave of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic should be opened and it is important to do so "on the basis of respect for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and jurisdiction" of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
According to paragraph 4 of the declaration, Yerevan pledges to cooperate with Washington and third parties in order to organize the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity on Armenian territory.
