The Minsk dictator has already made his choice.

Ukrainian journalist and politician Nikolai Knyazhytsky believes that President Vladimir Zelensky specifically keeps Lukashenko in suspense. He writes about it in Facebook:

- Today, Zelensky's attitude toward Lukashenko resembles Trump's attitude toward Maduro on the eve of a U.S. military operation. Perhaps this is the goal - to keep Lukashenko in suspense by means of strategic uncertainty about Ukrainian plans, so that he does not make unnecessary movements and starts remembering again "where Belarus was being attacked from."

For decades, Russia has been selling its main commodity - the illusion of "security guarantees" - to post-Soviet tyrannies. Now we are witnessing a fundamental breakthrough: Moscow is unable to protect even its own oil refineries, and even the presence of nuclear weapons has not helped it avoid Ukrainian drone strikes.

Lukashenko is well aware of this new reality, which is why he is panic-stricken about deteriorating relations with Kiev. But we have no right to forget where exactly Russian tanks came from in Bucha, Gostomel and Borodyanka - the Minsk dictator has already made his choice. Now his paralyzing fear is the real sign of Ukraine's new role, which has clearly dispelled the myth of the Kremlin's all-powerful security guarantees.
