Trump Has Spoken Out Against Exporting Uranium From Iran To Russia Or China

The president of the United States has two options on what to do with the uranium.

US President Donald Trump has said that Iran's transfer of enriched uranium to Russia or China would not suit the United States.

"No. That's not something that would suit me," he said in response to a related question during a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

The US president said earlier that enriched uranium held by Iran could be transferred to the United States or eliminated locally.

Trump said two options for dealing with the material are being considered.

"Enriched uranium will either be immediately transferred to the United States to be brought to the United States and destroyed or, better yet, in cooperation and coordination with the Islamic Republic of Iran, destroyed on site," he said.

The US president also emphasized that the IAEA or another similar entity should oversee the process.
