"Will Be Immediately Destroyed": Podolyak Warned Lukashenko

The territory of Belarus today is completely in the affected zone.

In an interview with centrumeuropy.pl, advisor to the head of Zelensky's Office Mikhail Podolyak spoke about threats from Lukashenko's regime.

Podolyak believes that military activity on the territory of Belarus may be Russia's attempt to raise the stakes:

- Especially considering that Belarus periodically provokes Poland, the Baltic states, there is the issue of the Suvalki corridor and so on. So this is an attempt to raise the negotiating stakes against the backdrop of the current stagnation on the front line that Russia is experiencing.

But on the other hand - President Zelensky, Commander-in-Chief General Syrsky, and our intelligence are talking about this - we see a lot of logistical activity in Belarus around the potential northern front. This is being done to stretch Ukraine's defense forces. This does carry certain risks. The question is different - it's a mystery to me why this is happening. Firstly, we have already built a defense line there, there are enough Ukrainian forces there, and there is no need to transfer them from other parts of the front.

Secondly, the territory of Belarus today is completely in the kill zone. There are important facilities there that will be immediately destroyed. And this is all Lukashenko - a man who has been calling himself president for 32 years - must understand. The question is whether he has retained his subjectivity - rather not. Even in relations with the Russian Federation. And that is why we are preparing, if necessary, for a fairly quick defensive retaliatory strike.
