Albania To The Kremlin: We Will Not Be Intimidated

Albanian diplomats will stay in Kiev despite Russian threats.

Albania has conveyed to the Russian ambassador in Tirana Alexei Zaitsev the position on Moscow's statement calling on diplomatic staff and foreign citizens to leave Kiev. Albania's Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha said this on social network X.

Albanian authorities said they consider such statements unacceptable and regard "threats to embassies" as intimidation and a violation of international law and the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.

"Albania will not retreat. We remain in Kiev. We firmly support Ukraine. And we will not be intimidated," the message reads.
